HUUM sauna stones are made from carefully selected olivine diabase, a natural stone with exceptional heat retention properties. Its high density ensures even heat distribution, while its round shape creates a gentle, finely dispersed steam.

In HUUM stoves, the stones are not hidden, but deliberately integrated as part of the design. They complete the characteristic look of Estonian sauna stoves and simultaneously contribute to a particularly pleasant sauna climate.

Two sizes. A perfect match.

The sauna stones are available in two versions:

• 3-5 cm diameter - 15 kg cardboard box, ideal for the top, denser layer

• 5-10 cm diameter - 15 kg cardboard box, ideal for basic and larger oven models

The combination of both sizes allows for optimal air circulation in the oven and ensures even evaporation.

Smart choice of sauna stones

Choosing the right stones determines the heat, steam, and atmosphere. Round stones allow water to gently penetrate between the layers, so it evaporates slowly and evenly, rather than suddenly at the surface. The result is a mild, natural steam, the kind only a HUUM oven can produce.

We recommend placing smaller stones closer together at the top to trap heat and achieve harmonious steam behavior.
